Welcome to my week! What a great couple of days I’ve had with my new friend Susan (aka… runnermom). Oh the places we’ve been … the stories she’s heard … the food we’ve eaten … the laughter we’ve shared. Please enjoy a brief look at our time together. The only thing better would have been to have more of you sharing the road with us. Shalom.
(the real me… I know, you’re shocked!)
PS: Winners of the DJ Coles’ CD will be announced with the next post. Sorry, too tired!
Awesome! I knew you had "that girl" in you all along! :o)
XO Melinda
Me next please!!!!!!!
Oh how special!!!
I really enjoyed your video. Thanks Elaine for sharing your visit with Runner Mom.
Oh how I WISH I could come and visit.
Loved that precious poem that was read, and you go girl, running 4 1/2 miles! I'm really proud of you.
(don't think I could WALK that…)
Blessingsโฅ
I'm kind of like the "real you" in your silly photo, too! ๐ Blessings!
I loved it! ๐ Thank you for sharing your time with Runner Mom and these dear ladies from your church.
What a beautiful spirit you all shared! And the food looked so good!
I'm glad you had such a wonderful time! God is so good! I'm amazed at how He has used blogging to bring so many Christian women together!
God bless.
Andrea
Your voice and eyes reveal the beaty of your spirit, Elaine…loved looking at this…so glad you and Susan could experience the real 'koinonia'..
Love, Sita
LOVED the video!!! The only thing missing in it was me!!! HAHAHA!!!
Love you guys!!!!
Hugs,
Joy
(PS. Your credits are priceless!)
too cute…so glad you had a good time together…i know the ancients loved being with you both!!
That was fun (except maybe the idea of 4-1/2 miles in the rain)! It surprises me not that you welcome one and all! Thanks for letting us in on your visit with Runner Mom.
Shalom,
Denise
Y'all look like you're having sooo much fun! I think it's awesome that the two of you were able to connect!
Now isn't that the best?! Oh that we could all come-and-go from each other's homes to fortify the bonds that have formed here. Or maybe have one big "pajama party" somewhere.
If you ever need an escape, know that I have a large home just west of Phoenix and some of the best R&R ambiance on the planet.
Be blessed!
Kathleen
Where shall I begin?
Ok, you will not get me to run 4.5 miles anywhere unless it was into that kitchen! My goodness the little sneak peek of the food was delicious!
Now, Mimi (sp?) that poetry reading was splendid. I was hugging her through the video and Elaine I cried in your prayer and then bust out laughing when you said, "…blew it" when the cell phone rang. That was commical.
I don't know Runner Mom but she is such a sweetie to travel to you and what a blessing from God is the gift of sweet fellowship.
I hope to come to you in the not too distant future but if you make it here before I get there then my Guest room is ready and so is my pool side. Girl we'll have ourselves some fun in the LORD.
Thanks for sharing with us. I love you and thank you again Elaine for the words you spoke into my heart on the phone not long back and on my blog. I've been writing like the wind and writing in the Wind. The wind of the Holy Spirit.
Love ya!
how fun!! thank you for sharing your visit with me!
I left my first comment before you had the video posted, so I had to come back! According to Mapquest, it would take me 19 and a half hours to drive to you, but if it meant some tea with you and lunch (macaroni salad! fried chicken! sweet poetry!) with the Ancients, it just might be worth it.
Oh, and you wouldn't have to run 4 and a half miles in the rain with me, either! :o)
Love you Elaine,
Melinda
Running 4 1/2 miles? Naw…not me! But enjoying a time of fellowship and fun (and food) with you… definitely! That would be wonderful.
Love,
Beth
P.S. Don't worry about the blogging. I've missed you, but I understand. I haven't blogged as much, either. Just don't seem to have it in me right now. Love ya…
Elaine,
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I love the lunch with ancients.
Blessings,
Kimberly
Wow! How exciting to meet in real life a new blogging friend. That is cool!
So wonderful! What a blessing for me today – and I love the pic of you guys being "yourselves." That's me too ๐
Love the video. I loved when you said "he screwed it up, he screwed it up." One, it was funny. And two, at first hearing, I had to say to myself "did she say screwed?" Not in condemnation AT ALL but rather, I feel comforted when I hear other strong Christian women say screw or crap. That are words of mine yet I feel guilty or conviction like they are not Christian-like or lady-like, yet sometimes, many times there is no better word than crap…
Forgive any other readers if that's offensive. Forgive me, Elaine, if crap is not appropriate either.
I'm just letting it all hang out, huh?
Thank you SO much for sharing the pictures! Now we are all jealous that we couldn't be there too!!!!
And, actually, I'm not really surprised at the "real you"! ๐ I knew you had a lot of "fun" in you. We must be polar opposites because my youngest son told me…back when he was a teenager…..that I knew how to have fun LESS than anyone else he knew! ha I hope I have improved a little since then!
Love ya,
Marilyn
Hi,
I'm in NC for another week…am so missing my running buddies. Solo running is a drag…literally.
Sounds like y'all are having a blast.
Run one for me.
Very neat!
Now You girls in the south know how to live it up! This is too fun!
Hey Elaine nothing like a visit from Runner Mom to kick ya in to gear…4 1/2 miles…hey a visit from her could really whip me up…too bad I'm way over here in the Pacific Northwest…
Thank You so much for sharing this fun with us!
Okay. I'm having a battle with the green-eyed monster! I"m still happy for you, though. These are special times!
I can't believe bloggers are meeting in person. I have YET to meet a one live. What's up with that?
Happy for you.
My time will come in October in Florida at the Free To Be Me Bloggers Retreat. There will be many of us. Hugging, making faces, praying, crying, and the whole deal..Can't wait.
you guys are just stinkin' adorable.
Jealous! … In a good way. So fun to get together in "real life" with blogging friends.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Looks like an awesome time together!!! yay!

Runner Mom was a great guest and a big hit with our "ancients" and our family. Its great to see how you have made such connections with the ladies of blog-land. How times have changed that you have made such a good friend even sight unseen!
Could the "peace for the journey Bed and Breakfast" be far away?
Love,
Billy
Elaine, you are adorable! I love your video and commentary… It was so very uplifting.
And I know for myself… I met A Portland Granny for the first time on Tuesday and we were together 6 hours… and could've gone longer!
Lucky me, she only lives about 40 minutes away and will be joining me and Elizabeth Embracing Life for a Bible study this summer!
Blogland… Thank you, God! Really! Thank you so very much!
"As if it mattered" LOL!
How fun for you, Elaine. I have dreams of meeting bloggy friends.
And if I ever find myself in NC, you better believe I will be contacting you. (With plenty of advanced notice. *grin*)
Oh my goodness gracious. What a blessing this video was. You had me cracking up, I started to get all choked up, felt like I was right there with all you ladies. You are just so precious sister…I love ya..((hugs)) Glad I 'found' you again and you have a 'follower' button..I'm following ya!~!
Oh what joy it would be to come to visit you. I need a passport though before I can come,,lol.
Trying not to be jealous Elaine. What fun. You girls looke like you had a great time. And the picture of you making a face…no I'm not shocked.
Just thought I'd let you know we aren't going to be coming out to N.C. and Tenn. this month. Change of plans. Gonna wait on the Lord instead. I know, a novel idea don't ya think?
…also, I just posted the BIGGEST post, my testimony. Thought you might be interested.
Blessings friend.
