Elaine, The work done in you is EVIDENT–in your eyes, in your words. You are radiant.
Makes me think of Psalm 34:5: "They looked expectingly unto Him, And they became bright (radiant), And their faces are not ashamed."
May God increasingly confirm His work in you and reward your trust. I don't need to tell you to have a WONderful time at She Speaks!
Love, love, love it! I was so touched by the youthfulness of your face. There's a beauty there you may or may not have had before; but for sure it's beautiful today. There's also a lilt in your voice – a lilt uncommon to victims of whatevers. You are no victim, and that's for certain!
Enjoy your journey. I eagerly await your "tellings" on the other side.
Hugs, Kathleen
You always make me tear up. Thank you for being you, Elaine. Thank you for sharing your peace with the world. Your two coppers are shining JESUS! Can't wait to hug my sister. xoxo
Hallelujah! I've missed your video messages, girl. You instill hope in every single one.
I sure wish I could be with you this weekend. Of course, I don't write… and I don't speak…but I would love to hug your neck (and eat chocolate, of course). π
Please keep us posted about Thomas. I'm praying.
Love you dearly…
Elaine, I'm sitting here at my desk thinking about what I'll share tonight when I go into the prison and your message touched my heart and focused my thoughts. You so eloquently said some of what's been bouncing around in my head. I agree with Sassy that you have an aura of beauty about you today that radiates!
Enjoy your time at SheSpeaks. Wish I could go and meet you in person. God has surely been preparing you for this journey. Can't wait to see what is next for you.
Love and prayers, Kelli
i love seeing what God has done and is doing in your life. you are a HUGE blessing!
I am so EXCITED about what God is doing in your life!!! It shows, Elaine. Your face glows. AS IF He was finished with you!!! He's just getting started.
I am with you about Judith. She is in my prayers and in my heart. She will be there with you as you go.
I can't wait to hear about the week.
For some reason, I feel so very proud of you… for digging deeper, for finding MORE in this time, and for pursuing God in a new way. I LOVE it!! π
xo
This was just soo wonderful Elaine, and as always you have so touched my heart and spirit with hope. You look WONDERFUL…soo good. I am excited for all the women who will get to hear you share, and look forward to hearing how it all went. Happy anniversary to you and your wonderful husband! How blessed you are. I will be praying all goes will at this conference. Hugs, Debbie
Oh, I just had to tell you, I have the exact same lamp that was on the table behind you. It is a pretty one isn't it? : )
Elaine, so happy to hear how the Lord has been doing a healing work in your life the past few weeks — and so excited for you as you go to the conference, renewed and ready. Very ready, indeed, considering the stache of Harry & David's you're taking with you! You know I am beyond jealous right now π
Praising GOD for this opportunity for you and the unfolding of His plan for your life and ministry.
Crying out for deliverance from hopelessness!
LOVE your hair!! I'm such a short hair girl and yours looks awesome! I hope you have an amazing time at She Speaks. I had the opportunity to go but did not get the 'go' from God. So, I'm hanging out here in the Georgia mountains. blessings to you and to all who will attend.
Love it! You look amazing!!! π π Simply amazing! I'm excited that you are able to attend She Speaks this weekend and I'm hoping that you are filled with strength and spiritual understanding and all wisdom according to God's grace and goodness as you journey this season of your life.
May blessings abound you and everyone attending She Speaks as you guys seek hard after the dreams God has put into your heart.
Prayers and blessings, Rebecca
This was wonderful Elaine. I very much enjoy putting a face and a voice with the eloquent words that flow through you. π
God is truly ever-faithful, and I have no question He will be by your side each occasion that you need that lift, and reach out for His Hand. I'm thankful you're feeling that Heavenly Presence more each day, and look forward to hearing about the conference.
Have a Blessed Day!
How absolutely touching. I love your video and all you shared from the last 40 days. Forty is such a perfect number isn't it. I will be praying for you and please update us again when you get back.
May the Lord strengthen every fiber of your being. Blessings!
Oswald Chambers ~ "Can You Come Down From the Mountain?"
"We all have moments when we feel better than ever before, and we say, "I feel fit for anything; if only I could always be like this!" We are not meant to be. Those moments are moments of insight which we have to live up to even when we do not feel like it. Many of us are no good for the everyday world when we are not on the mountaintop. Yet we must bring our everyday life up to the standard revealed to us on the mountaintop when we were there.
Never allow a feeling that was awakened in you on the mountaintop to evaporate. Donβt place yourself on the shelf by thinking, "How great to be in such a wonderful state of mind!" …We must learn to live in the ordinary "gray" day according to what we saw on the mountain."
I love this… that what we learn on the mountain helps us to live in the ordinary "gray" day. And this was the reason we even met… because you were drawn to the title of a post I wrote.
You look wonderful! And I have to admit that about 40 days ago I was feeling a little guilty that I may have pushed you into going to She Speaks… But you took the two coins… and threw them in as an offering. And how you are being blessed and blessing others with your obedience. Much love to you, my friend. Wishing I was there with you, but knowing God has other plans for us.
wifeforthejourney:
You are in my thoughts and prayers tonight as your She Speaks weekend begins. Keep your eyes open for the Lord's hand at work in and through the people you meet this weekend. I'm planning on saying "I told you so" when you come home with a bunch of new friends and good news!
Love you, Billy
you are so beautiful and there is such a wonderful peace about you and a light in your eyes…I know where it came from!
Thanks, I got the book today and am anxious to get busy reading.
This video post might as well have been just for me. I am a widow – unexpectedly in November 2008, after thirty beautiful years of marriage, my husband left this earthly life – and I was thrown into the high seas of not knowing what the future holds, except that God holds my life in His hands. That was all I could bank on, and here I am two and a half years later, still alive and well.
Your words sank deep into my heart. Never have I considered that passage in Luke 21 in my journey through grief, and as you shared, I felt God speaking directly two me. Put in all you've got, give me all you are depending on…
Forty days is a beautiful number for me, and your video confirmed that number for me.
We share a common love – for Judith.
And for whatever reason God has brought you into my life, not just my blog life, but my real life, for allowing our paths to cross, I know there is an eternal purpose to be fulfilled by our friendship.
Somehow I feel our destinies are entwined, if only for the common thread that runs through our lives.
Will look forward to your stories about She Speaks. You definitely have a story to tell. Of faith, and of hope.
Your face was glowing, your eyes were sparkling, and your hair becomes you. Kind of reminded me of the forty days Moses spent up on the mountain with God…
Much love to you Lidj
Dear Elaine, I hopped over here from Lidj's blog. Your video is so encouraging, and I can tell you, this is just the beginning for you my friend! π Sending you a big hug! π (((MMMMMmmm)))) Your sister in Christ, Tammi
Elaine,
You have a glow…
A sharing like only you can…peace for your journey as well…
Thank you for the outpouring of your transparent heart. I'm a bit behind on visits as you can see so I think you've probably already gone to She Speaks as I see another post above this one that I'll have to visit.
I've never gone and have thought about it. Thankful that the Lord has made a path for you to go! He's just that type of Abba Father.
Your best work is NOT yet done. You have much more living and work to do for the Kingdom! Looking forward to all that God will pour through you.
Love and prayers! Lisa
Oh and Blessings to you and your husband on 14 years! Peter and I share 21 years next month. An awesome journey!!
Blessings…
Elaine, I usually don't watch videos – but Lidj pointed the way – and I watched – and was so blessed. Trust. Despair. God's plans. The world's plans. My heart trusts that God has the plan. But (and there's always a but) when my mind takes over, despair – and it's all about my role, either as a mom or someone trying to get a job, – it all rolls back to my value – because I can't seem to be what "people" need. And your video reaffirmed what my heart keeps saying, keeps encouraging – that I am a valuable, worthwhile, treasured daughter of The King – and that He has a plan for what my family needs, what I need, too.
